The pivot door is the classic shower door that opens outwards (and closes horizontally, like an interior door). There are an infinite number of models on the market, more or less aesthetically pleasing, differentiated by the type of profile, the thickness and decoration of the glass, the design of the handles or hinges, and the size of the frames. The choice is truly astonishing.
PRO: As the simplest shower enclosure, it is generally also the cheapest.
CON: The hinged model takes advantage of the entire width of the niche for the entrance to the shower – it is therefore also suitable for niches of reduced width – but it causes the door to drip when it is opened and it can bump into other pieces of furniture if the measurements are not taken correctly.
